Answers to common questions about managing your beaconcha.in API subscription, upgrading plans, and working with multiple accounts.

Can I change the email address associated with my account?

No, email addresses cannot be changed after account creation. This is due to technical limitations with our payment processor (Stripe), where accounts are permanently linked to the email used during registration.

What should I do instead?

If you need to use a different email address:
  1. Create a new account with your preferred email address
  2. Subscribe to your desired plan on the new account
  3. Cancel your old subscription via the pricing page by clicking Manage Billing
Your API usage history and statistics will not transfer to the new account.

Can I merge multiple accounts into one?

No, accounts cannot be merged or consolidated. Each beaconcha.in account is treated as an independent subscription and cannot be combined with other accounts.

Why do organizations sometimes have multiple accounts?

Organizations often create multiple accounts to:
  • Separate API keys for different projects or environments (development, staging, production)
  • Provide independent rate limits for different teams
  • Track usage separately for billing purposes

How do I upgrade my plan?

You can upgrade your plan at any time through your account settings:
  1. Log in to beaconcha.in
  2. Go to User SettingsAPI Key Management
  3. Select your desired plan and complete the upgrade
For Enterprise plans, contact us to discuss your requirements.

What happens to my existing subscription when I upgrade?

When you upgrade:
  • Your new plan takes effect immediately
  • You’ll be charged the prorated difference for the current billing period
  • Your rate limits increase instantly

How do I cancel my subscription?

To cancel your subscription:
  1. Log in to beaconcha.in
  2. Go to the pricing page and click Manage Billing
  3. Cancel your subscription from the billing portal
Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
Cancellation is permanent. Your API key will revert to free tier limits after the billing period ends.

I have multiple accounts and want to consolidate. What should I do?

If you’re currently managing multiple accounts and want to simplify:
  1. Evaluate your needs: Determine your total rate limit requirements and number of API keys needed
  2. Contact us: Reach out to [email protected] to discuss Enterprise options
  3. Migrate: We’ll help you transition to a single Enterprise account that meets all your needs
  4. Cancel old accounts: Once migrated, cancel your individual subscriptions
